Adita Counsel was established in 2011 by a small group of legal practitioners who had seen, in their earlier careers, how much distress families faced when navigating estates without clear, personal guidance. Court corridors and dense legal correspondence left people more anxious than when they started. That didn't seem right.
The practice was deliberately kept small. We take on cases we can give proper attention to, not the largest number we can process. Each family receives direct contact with the solicitor or adviser handling their matter — not a succession of different faces at each stage.
Over the years, our focus has remained fixed on three areas: estate review, succession support, and resolution of contested estates. These are the matters that come up again and again when families encounter loss, and they are the areas where clear, calm counsel makes the most difference.

Thai inheritance law is governed primarily by the Civil and Commercial Code. When a person passes away in Thailand, their estate — which includes property, financial assets, and liabilities — passes to their heirs according to statutory rules or according to a valid will. Understanding which applies in your family's situation is often the first, most important step.
For estates with property in Chiang Rai or elsewhere in Northern Thailand, there are specific registration procedures with the Land Department. These require careful preparation to avoid delays or complications. Families who are unfamiliar with these processes can find themselves waiting many months if documentation is incomplete or incorrectly prepared from the outset.
When a family member passes without a will, the succession order set out in Thai law determines who inherits and in what proportion.
